Chemical Composition/Ingredients
The GHS is an acronym for The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals. The GHS is a system for standardizing and harmonizing the classification and labelling of chemicals. Chemicals are associated with codes that define their health, physical and environmental hazards. This universal hazard communication system was developed to ensure that employers, employees and consumers are provided with adequate, practical, reliable and comprehensible information on the hazards of chemicals, so that they can take effective preventive and protective measure for their own health and safety.

EU Hazard Classification Directive 67/548/EECHazard Symbols are used to classify dangerous substances.
Hazard SymbolsRisk Phrases, denoted as a series of numbers preceded by the letter "R" indicate the nature of the special risks, in accordance with Annex III to Directive 67/548/EEC (see Article 23(2)(d) Directive 67/548/EEC). The numbers are separated by either a comma to denote separate statements concerning special risks, or an oblique stroke (/) to denote a combined statement, in a single sentence, of the special risks.
Risk PhrasesSafety Phrases, denoted as a series of numbers preceded by the letter "S" indicating the recommended safety precautions, in accordance with Annex IV to Directive 67/548/EEC. The numbers are separated by either a comma to denote separate statements concerning safety precautions, or an oblique stroke (/) to denote a combined statement, in a single sentence, of the safety precautions.

Acute health effects
From MSDS Emergency and Hazards Overview WARNING: CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE. Primary Route of Exposure: Skin Health Effect Information EYE CONTACT: Avoid eye contact. Avoid generation of mists and vapors. Upon direct contact, this product may cause burns or frostbite. Exposure to mists and vapors may be irritating to the eyes. SKIN CONTACT: Avoid skin contact. This product may cause moderate skin irritation upon direct contact. Prolonged or repeated contact may result in contact dermatitis which is characterized by dryness, chapping, and reddening. Pre-existing skin conditions may make the skin more susceptible and facilitate uptake by this route. May be absorbed through skin. INHALATION: Avoid prolonged inhalation of mist or vapors. Acute and chronic overexposures may be irritating to the respiratory tract. Severe intoxication may lead to drowsiness, dullness, numbness, and headache followed by dizziness, weakness, and nausea. Exposure to even higher concentrations may lead to loss of consciousness and convulsions followed by death. Exposure to extremely high concentrations may have anesthetic effects but are completely reversible upon cessation of exposure. INGESTION: Do not ingest. Ingestion is unlikely. Ingestion may result in lung aspiration. Aspiration may lead to chemical pneumonitis which is characterized by pulmonary edema and hemorrhage and may be fatal. Signs of lung involvement include increased respiratory rate, increased heart rate, and a bluish discoloration of the skin. Coughing, choking, and gagging are often noted at the time of aspiration. Gastrointestinal discomfort may develop, followed by vomiting with a further risk of aspiration. Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal distress. Severe oral intoxication will lead to intense burning of the throat and may result in drowsiness, dullness, numbness, and headache followed by dizziness, weakness, and nausea. Loss of consciousness and convulsions followed by death may result. Medical Conditions Aggravated by Exposure: No information available.
-
Chronic health effects
From MSDS CHRONIC Prolonged or repeated contact may result in contact dermatitis which is characterized by dryness, chapping, and reddening. Pre-existing skin conditions may make the skin more susceptible and facilitate uptake by this route. May be absorbed through skin. Inhalation: Avoid prolonged inhalation of mist or vapors. Acute and chronic overexposures may be irritating to the respiratory tract.
-
Carcinogenicity
From MSDS CARCINOGENIC No information available.
-
Handling information
From MSDS Handling: Contents under pressure and can explode when exposed to heat or open flame. Caution!--Do not puncture or incinerate. Storage: Do not store at temperatures greater than 120 F. Empty Container Warnings Drums: No information available. Plastic: No information available. Personal Hygiene: Always wash hands and face with soap and water before eating, drinking, or smoking.
-
Disposal information
From MSDS Materials should be recycled if possible.
-
First Aid
From MSDS Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with large amounts of water and continue flushing for 15 minutes or until irritation subsides. If severely injured, assist by holding victim's eyelids open while flushing eyes. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. Skin Contact: Wash contaminated area thoroughly with soap and water. If redness or irritation occurs, seek medical attention. Inhalation: If breathing has stopped or is irregular, administer artificial respiration and supply oxygen if it is available. If victim is unconscious, remove to fresh air and seek immediate medical attention. Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting due to aspiration hazard. If vomiting occurs lower head below knees to avoid aspiration. Notes to Physician: No information available.
